About Landoll’s Mohican Castle

Cited as one of the top 5 castle wedding venues in America by popular travel website Orbitz.com, Landoll’s Mohican Castle tailors each wedding specifically to the bride and groom’s wishes. Landoll’s Mohican Castle serves as one of America’s one-of-a-kind lodging, dining, corporate retreats, wedding destinations, and a family-owned and operated business. Opened to the public in 2002, Landoll’s Mohican Castle sits on 30 acres, and the castle sits at 1,200 feet, technically making it a mountain! The producers of Gordon Ramsay’s show, “Hotel Hell,” reached out to the Landoll family in the summer of 2015, asking them to be a part of it.

Gordon and his team put everyone through the wringer in 10 days. Over 20 million people viewed Landoll’s Mohican Castle’s episode, which served as the finale! Since the 2016 show, the castle has continued to thrive, doing better than ever. Landoll’s Mohican Castle credits Gordon and his team for the stellar turnaround. Gordon Ramsay called the general manager, Jimmy Landoll. He told him that this venue is the poster child of why he continues to do these shows.

Landoll’s Mohican Castle also began building The Stables in December 2017. Adding 14 additional guest suites, The Stable Suites opened in August 2018. The land upon which the castle resides possesses a rich history. Ashland County, and the area surrounding the village of Loudonville, were initially populated by Native Americans from the Delaware nation of tribes, along with a remnant of the Connecticut Mohegan (Mohican).
